biking
Snow white bark
autumn aspen
a gentle firm reminder
of this earths magic
of leaving my minds walls
today a breeze flutters her bright yellow veined wings
this time I reflect upon her beauty
through panting lungs a certain urgency, excitement
as I race the nights beginning
a competitor that wins at the end of every day
except on the tips of this spinning planet
valleys and crevices, details melting into the dark grey blue
mountains silhouetted
against fading light,
behind me the Northern Valhalla’s, Ruby Basin and the Three Sisters
pink, electric clouds streak the sky
just me and my baby blue
lets go for a ride she suggests
its been awhile
put the fun between your legs,
where I know you like it.
no lights upon this rubber, aluminum steed
legs pumping round and round
wheels spinning upon this pavement path
to be Alive upon this earth
