beauty colour senses
The light on the water is so beautiful. All the colours here may be pretty alone but together they create an unmatched masterpiece of nature. This beauty cannot be depicted properly and in full justice in any form of art I can think of. One, I believe, must use their mind to preserve the every sight, sound, smell, feeling, and taste in the formaldehyde of memory.
The ocean reflects the beautiful sky with double the resonance. Purples appear darker and pinks appear lighter, much like the sounds, the gentle music of this island. Every natural sound, of gentle waves lapping lightly at the shore or a seal diving for a fish, is heightened as if on a pedestal of sound while boats and cares keep their place below as a light thrumming in the under track of the island’s music. Every smell is subtle and fragrant in the great perfume of this island. The moss is a wonderful texture beneath my gentle fingers and I know the razor rocks wish no harm upon me. The fresh air shares the stage of my mouth with the faint background taste of the ocean. And so my memory portrait is complete, along with my time on this island. So as this beautiful experience comes to a close, this is my ode to a wonderful time and place.
