Memoirs of the Milky Way

And February came so coldAnd in this war I too was soldNow I am alone, a burning candleI graffiti-ed the moon to create a scandalI burned a bridge, they burned my homeSentenced to the world to roamCenturies of broken heartsJust in seconds ripped apartNeither dusk nor dawn shall hid my shameOr push me out of the midnight painThe Milky Way witnesses our criesOf laughter, of birds, our dreams, our sighsOf Venetian shadows under the starsI will not fall, I will go farThen each ship, un-hailed, sailed aloneTo imprudent destinations unknown.
