Caitlin Perry
slocan lake valley poem

I could get lost in your valleys but, I'd feel right at home

I know its been a while……
Mountains
but, I’m still in love
with your curves and peaks
every crevice, rock, and tree.

I could get lost in your valleys but, I’d feel right at home.

My soul sings and sighs
Its home
always home, but here in these mountains it sighs and soars
away from stores and city sounds

sounds of birds
and a soft rushing of a creek in the distance
a quite wind chime
a gentle breeze
caresses my face

waving at me from branches
trees swaying slightly
sweetly seated
in a small eternity

worries melt away
What worries?
Let the wind take them away………… she will.
Tension in the face from everywhere
dissipates

Flow like the lake and the lakes rivers
Flow from the source,
Jump in.
