A merry-go-round
spins in beautiful circles,
round and round and round

Someday - by Claire Maslak

Some day,
I shall gallop
along the clouds, I shall
whisper my secret ways, someday,
I shall

Spring - by Claire Maslak

The rain is dripping down my face
I splash in the puddles
as I walk with grace

The lovely bright sky is blue
for it is filled with beauty
you will always know it is true

Flowers sprouting from the ground
the roses are as red cherries
see the beauty all around

Spring silently soars
we are on the beach
as we walk along the shores

Coming in from the Snow - by Claire Maslak

Stepping in through the door
my boots and hair are all wet,
I place my mitts on the floor
and get my porcelain tea set.

The fire is burning
and so I draw near,
Outside snow is churning
It’s so cold in here.

In this room there’s no sound
I am calm and relaxed,
Until my father comes round
with the tree he has axed.

A Snowy Day - by Claire Maslak

Stepping in through the door
my boots and hair are all wet,
I place my mitts on the floor
and get my porcelain tea set.

The fire is burning

I am calm and relaxed,
Until my father comes round
with the tree he has axed.

I can see my own breath,
all frosty and bold.

Summer is ending
but don’t try to worry
’cause a new season’s just beginning.

Snow - by Claire Maslak

Snow is white
upon the ground
It makes so many beds
When footprints flee to go in them
it flies upon our heads!

The snow fairies wake
to hear our calls,
of voices upon the snowy sea
soon we’ll all be going home
to have some cookies and tea.

A Walk through the Kokanee Canyon - by Claire Maslak

Lemony fragrances by the water as we walk through the Kokanee Canyon from the view point there was a site of water rushing with all of its might. With looks of a braid as the water flies with hope of a great big surprise. As we walk through the Kokanee Canyon. A rocky path beneath our feet we stumble and we fall as we go home to eat we pick up speed. On our walk through the Kokanee Canyon A moon silver pool, of freezing cold water, we touched it and cried “oh it’s cold water” As we walk through…

Feelings in Nature - by Claire Maslak

I am Free!
All the colours and wind
in my mind
Swirling and Whirling
ideas in my head
The leaves on the trees
I am Free!

Fire - by Claire Maslak

Fire, like a golden lion,
stretching, spreading, racing
through leagues of unmarked land,
dangerous, silent,
shimmering in the tall yellow grass,
dancing closer, closer
you cannot get away,
entranced, you watch,
as slowly, it consumes you.
